A class of serine-threonine kinases involved in cellular SIGNAL TRANSDUCTION. Included in this class are the proto-oncogene proteins raf and mil (mil is the avian homologue of raf1). Raf is a component of a signal transduction pathway leading to increased gene expression through the c-Jun DNA binding site, AP1.

Platidiam
- An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
