A bandage which has a considerable number of knots placed over each other. It is made with a roller, 6 or 7 ells long, rolled into two balls, and is used to compress the parotid region, after the extirpation of the parotid gland. Also, an epithet applied to children in whom the disease of rickets has swollen the articulations. It is, likewise, applied to the gout when it has caused nodes on the joints.
