An American author and professor of philosophy at Northwestern University; born in Monroe County, N. Y., March 26, 1862. Besides being a contributor to philosophical and theological magazines he wrote: "The Spritual Life; Studies in the Science of Religion" (1900); "The Religion of a Mature Mind"; "Education in Religion and Morals".
