(1746-1813), represented Massachusetts in the Continental Congress from 1785 to 1786. He served in the U.S. Congress as a Federalist from 1789 to 1796 and in the U.S. Senate from 1796 to 1799. He was Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1799 to 1801. He was a Judge of the Massachusetts Supreme Court from 1802 to 1813.
