An American poet; born in Boston, Jan. 26, 1803; died in Washington, D. C., Nov. 30, 1859. He wrote: "The Valley of the Nashaway, and Other Poems": (1830); "Geraldine" (1839), resembling Don Juan in form and treatment; the successful romance "Nix's Mate" (1840). His verses were sung at the laying of the corner-stone of Bunker Hill monument.

Dopamine Acetyltransferase
- An enzyme that catalyzes the of groups from acetyl-CoA to arylamines. They have wide specificity for aromatic amines, particularly serotonin, and can also catalyze acetyl transfer between arylamines without CoA. EC 2.3.1.5.
