A Hungarian poet; born at Rimaszombat, in the county of Gomor, Sept. 29, 1819; died July 30, 1868. He wrote: "Folk Tales and Popular Sayings" (1846); several allegorical poems, among them "The Stork" (1847), expressing the popular sympathy with the coming revolution; "Stories of the Flowers" (1854); "Mathias Szuhay".
