A balance arranged for ascertaining the weight of a body suspended in liquid, the balance and weights being in the air. H. paradox, the ill-chosen name of an instrument which exhibits the fact that a comparatively light column of water can support a heavy weight in virtue of the fundamental laws of the transmission of pressure through a fluid. - An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
