A vessel, made by pouring melted antimony into a mould. By putting wine into this and allowing it to stand some time, it acquires the property of producing vomiting. This kind of emetic has been long rejected, as the practitioner could never be certain of the dose he exhibited.

- An inorganic water-soluble platinum complex. After undergoing hydrolysis, it reacts DNA produce both intra interstrand crosslinks. These crosslinks appear to impair replication and transcription of DNA. The cytotoxicity cisplatin correlates with cellular arrest in G2 phase cell cycle.
