A mixture of several gums and resins, exported from Africa, where it is used to deterge wounds. Dioscorides calls, by the name kaykanov, the tears from an Arabian tree, which are similar to myrrh, and of a disagreeable taste. He advises it in numerous diseases. This name is given, also, to the Anime.
