Baden is a town six miles from Vienna. Here are 12 springs, containing carbonates of lime and magnesia; sulphates of lime, and magnesia, and soda; and chlorides of sodium and aluminum. The water is used in diseases of the skin, rheumatism, &c. There are two other towns of the same name; one in Suabia, and the other in Switzerland, about 12 miles from Zurich, where are mineral springs. The waters of the last two are thermal sulphureous.
